On occasion I will quiz the kids on random things they should know or are learning. Yesterday I was doing this little exercise with James. I asked him what his full name is which, of course he knew. Then I asked him what his mom's name is and he eventually came up with Tiffany but he wasn't sure about my last name. Then we came to TJ's name, which is always a gamble anyway and, after some deliberation he told me his daddy's name is "Emerson Roalderson Peterson the first". I thought he did a pretty good job considering that we get calls from telemarketers all the time who don't come as close to getting TJ's name right as James did and they usually have the name written out in front of them.
