Will lost his first baby tooth this morning. (Not including the abscess ones). I could hear Will and James downstairs fighting about who could play with the shoe box from my new tennis shoes. It was starting to sound like they might come to blows over it, when all of a sudden there was dead silence and then James came running up the stairs yelling "I knocked Will's tooth out" over and over. Will followed him up looking very proud, the fight obviously forgotten. He held his tooth out for me and told me that he and James were fighting. James hit him in the mouth with his head and out popped Will's tooth. He said it didn't hurt at all. He is very excited to put it under his pillow tonight and get a dollar, which is apparently the going rate these days (talk about inflation, I think we got quarters). Anyway it was an exciting first for all of us and made quite an impression on James, who later told me he wished he could have my permanent teeth.

too cute. Tell Will the going rate for a tooth at grandma's house is more than one dollar! When Tristan was that age and discovered that the tooth fairy gave money for teeth, he started figuring that amount in with his allowance. He was willing to knock them all out for a certain price. Apparently the tooth fairy doesn't work that way he discovered.
Thanks for the updates!!!! Lovely present!
